Daniel Souza Jardine
Is there any place that someone would be able to view the school pictures? It's a little hard to focus in through the internet. We are trying to see if my father, Daniel Souza Jardine, who lived on a dairy ranch in the Suisun-Cordelia area during this time period might be one of the students. He came to the area with his family to live with cousins after leaving Honolulu - he landed in Suisun area in 1912. The 1925 picture shows a boy on the right hand side, back row who might be my father. Your answer would be greatly appreciated. We believe the dairy ranch was run by our cousins, the Souza family (Portuguese descent). Thank you - Dolores (Jardine) Finn. Original name in Portugal was "Jardin".

Our family has a lot of history behind it! There were 4 brothers and 3 sisters, however, my dad always told us the story of being raised on a dairy ranch in Suisun/Cordelia area - going to school there. There is some disagreement from his siblings who were born many years after he was that he would not have been left at his cousin's dairy ranch when his parents moved to Oakland. It is not unreasonable to me, because of the economic conditions and the fact that my dad's brother was just born on the way from Honolulu to Suisun - my grandfather had to find a home, work and he would not have left a newborn behind for awhile. But my dad's grandmother, who came over from Honolulu with her son and his wife was attached to my father and requested that he stay under her care at the ranch. My father passed in 1976 and isn't here to defend our story. Thanks again! P. S. We have a very large family - all in the Bay Area.
